A selection of enzymes that has a range of functional and performance benefits. Some stand out features of the WeissBiotech range includes the ability to function in a broader pH and temperature range – ultimately allowing better flexibility through use under different conditions. For example due to the low pH stability of the Alpha-amylase, the liquefaction process can take place at pH 4.2-4.5, allowing a large amount of back set – saving significant amounts of caustic and acid.

Superior viscosity reduction that allows mashing at a higher dry matter and overall higher efficiency and yields under practical conditions. With higher efficiency and working in very short times this allows the elimination of a pre-liquefaction tank – a situation where a holding tube is sufficient - the fiscal benefits of course knocks on into energy and operation costs.

Our range of WeissBiotech enzymes offers the best possible options for liquefaction, saccharification and viscosity reduction, the range is also extended with performing alcohol yeasts and selective preservatives.

DELTAZYME® BAA

An endo-a-amylase from Bacillus subtilis releasing soluble dextrins and small amounts of maltose and glucose from starch, working from pH 6.0 to 7.0, and from 60°C to 90°C, decreasing quickly the viscosity of the slurry.

DELTAZYME® BAX

An endo-a-amylase from Bacillus subtilis and contains significant xylanase side activities, releasing soluble dextrins and working from pH 5.0 to 7.0, and from 60°C to 90°C, with improved viscosity reduction in the slurry.

DELTAZYME® HSAA CT

A heat stable endo-a-amylase from Bacillus licheniformis producing soluble dextrins and small amounts of maltose and glucose from starch, working from pH 5.0 to 8.0, and up to 100°C, decreasing quickly the viscosity of the slurry.

DELTAZYME® HSAA TF

A bacterial derived, thermostable endo-α-amylase producing soluble dextrins and small amounts of maltose and glucose from starch, it is working in a broad pH-range (5.0 to 8.0) and at temperatures up to 95 -100°C, hereby also effectively decreasing the viscosity of the reaction mixture.

VERENIUM FUELZYME® ALPHA-AMYLASE

A thermostable low pH endo a-amylase from a genetically modified microorganism. It releases soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides (dextrinizing action). Highly effective from pH 4.0 to 6.0, and from 80°C to 105°C, it displays exceptional viscosity reduction

DELTAZYME® GA L-E5

An exo-1,4-a-D-glucosidase obtained from Aspergillus niger and is a saccharification enzyme producing glucose from hydrolyzed starch. The product hydrolyzes the 1,4-linkages starch and, at a lower rate, it also splits the 1,6-a linkage making it an effective enzyme in the processing of starch. The product also contains some acid a-amylase, but has extremely low levels of transglucosidase.

DELTAZYME® GA L-E6

A fungal a-amylase from Aspergillus oryzae able to release dextrins and glucose from starch, from pH 4.0 to 6.5 and up to 65°C.

DELTAZYME® VR BG

An endo-ß-D-1,3-1,4-glucanase from Trichoderma reesei. It reduces the viscosity of products containing Barley or other cereals very quickly.

DELTAZYME® VR DP-10

An endo-ß-D-1,3-1,4-glucanase from Trichoderma longibrachiatum. Containing also a xylanase activity, it reduces the viscosity of products containing wheat or other cereals very quickly.

DELTAZYME® VR DVX

A bacterial xylanase containing significant glucanse side activities.. It hydrolyzes glucan and xylan found in wheat and other cereals. The product has been especially developed for viscosity reduction of wheat and other cereals in the production of alcohol and is highly efficient from pH 4.0 to high pH levels and over a broad temp range (up to 80°C).

DELTAZYME® VR VX

A bacterial xylanase. It hydrolyzes glucan and xylan found in wheat and other cereals. The product has been especially developed for viscosity reduction of wheat and other cereals in the production of alcohol and is highly efficient from pH 4.0 to high pH levels and over a broad temp range (up to 80°C).

DELTAZYME® VR XL

A xylanase from Trichoderma longibrachiatum reducing the viscosity of cereal slurry. It also contains some hemicellulase, ß-glucanase and xylanase activity. It hydrolyzes glucan and xylan found in wheat and other cereals. The product has been especially developed for viscosity reduction of wheat and other cereals in the production of alcohol and is highly efficient from pH 4.0 to 5.5 and up to 65°C.

VERENIUM XYLATHIN™

An endo-xylanase. The product also contains some hemicellulase and endo-ß-1,3-1,4-glucanase activity. The product has been especially developed for viscosity reduction of wheat and other cereals from pH 4.0 to 9.0 and from 40°C to 80°C.

Other Enzymes:


DELTAZYME® APS

An acid protease from Aspergillus niger. It can be used to hydrolyse proteins present in the starch slurry and to improve filtration rate. The product has been specially developed for protein hydrolysis from pH 3.0 to 5.0 and from 30°C to 60°C.

DELTAZYME® BNP

A neutral protease from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens that hydrolyses proteins present in the starch slurry and decreases its viscosity quickly. The product has been specially developed for its ability to hydrolyse proteins from pH 5.5 to 8.5 up to 70°C.

DELTAZYME® EXTRA YIELD

An enzyme preparation especially developed to produce fermentable sugars from the non-fermentable carbohydrates left in the mash during the alcoholic fermentation. It can be used during alcoholic fermentation after saccharification, or during simultaneous saccharification & fermentation.
